Data protection
and privacy
Limos8 has long experience with IT systems and all necessary measures needed to ensure the protection and availability of the data.
Our internal IT team and the company founder who has Ph.D. in information systems from ETH Zurich, have implemented the following innovative measures to protect and improve the operations.
- Web and database servers have permanent full snapshot backup on a daily basis;
- A full manual backup is made before each upgrade/update of the software;
- As the systems are hosted on cloud infrastructure in Germany, restoring such backups takes up to 5 minutes only.
- Each staff member has signed a confidentiality agreement with the company;
- All the staff members have gone through internal IT systems security training;
- No unauthorized personnel are allowed to enter the operations team premises.
- All databases are using encrypted storage systems;
- All data is accessed only via the user authentication method;
- Revocation of such access rights is performed within minutes.
- All communication protocols used between our systems are using state-of-the-art encryption methods based on TLS 1.2 and 1.3.
- Any customer-facing webform uses HTTPS based on TLS 1.3 and corresponding certificates.
- Our system is hosted on a cloud infrastructure in Germany that is by default resilient and fault-proof. Nevertheless, we have another provider with a hosted system that is running as hot-standby and ready to be used within 15 minutes from the moment of failure;
- In case such failure happens, the operations team has access to the offline data needed for that day in order to fulfill all pending requests.
- Our systems are updated on a weekly basis with all safety and security patches. That includes all software layers in the software stack: operating system, management layer, and business logic layer;
- Our hosting provider has very strong protection against DDOS attacks;
- Our system has implemented a state-of-art firewall system to prevent any unauthorized access or even data tampering.
